Fluid Hydraulics

Designing systems to manage interactions between fluids and their environment.

Fluid mechanics/hydraulic engineers are highly skilled in physics and mathematics and study the properties and movement of fluids in both natural and built environments. They assess the interaction of fluids with soil, rocks and human-made structures, often being required to design and build external dams and pipelines or internal plumbing networks.

Applications in cellular agriculture:

Fluid mechanics/hydraulic engineers can apply their skills to design and develop bioreactors for cellular agriculture, possibly focusing on water use efficiency as well as media perfusion, recycling and waste management.
