Biotechnology

Designing novel products and technologies to support health, agriculture and industry.

Biotechnologists study the genetic and physical properties of cells and tissues in order to gain an understanding of their components. They then selectively manipulate such attributes in order to enhance the functionality of certain technologies like medicine, food production and energy efficiency.

relevance to cellular agriculture

Usually working closely with genomic specialists, bioinformaticians and molecular biologists, biotechnologists are required to better understand how genes and proteins can be harnessed to develop optimum cellular agriculture products.
